I have the 131D VOLVO PENTA AN

I have the 131D VOLVO PENTA AND WHEN PUTTING THE BOAT IN DRIVE TO FORWARD IT IS FINE BUT WHEN I PUT IT REVERSE THE OUTDRIVE COMES OUT OF THE WATER. WHEN OUT OF THE I CAN DO THE TRIM UP AND DOWN AND IT WORKS. WHAT WOULD BE CAUSING THE OUT DRIVE TO DO THIS. THAT FOR THE HELP I CAN GET.

CHECKED IT OUT AND THE ONLY THING I COULD FIND WAS PEOPLE SAYING THAT IT WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE BUT MINE WILL IT JUST JUMPS MOUT THE WATER WHEN YOU OUT IN LIKE SOMETHING IS NOT KEEPING IT PUSHED DOWN IN THE WATER THATS

Thank i have talked to before

Thank i have talked to before about the boat over heating when i frist got it. all that is fixed. just been trying to work all the bugs out and learn more about the boat. i will have to mess with it some this week and see what i can come up with thanks again.

I was also asking is thier way toinstall motor mount on this engine to the boat.. thier are none at this time any ideas on this it is a 131d valvo penta motor on a 1990 sprotcraft 1900 sprint boat and no motor mount on the engine it is just hanging right above the floor of the boat

Alternatively, you can get the mounts from Volvo Penta (part 7, there is one for port side and a different one for starboard side)

The engine can (according to Volvo Penta) work without front mounts, but IMO it is not a good idea (imagine a rotted transom???)"
