i noticed theres a water pump

i noticed theres a water pump kit available for this motor (impeler) how do i know if mine is working i dont see a hole where water would circulte out ithought this motor was air cooled im confused

"The engine is water cooled. If memory serves me correctly, water exits the small holes about half way down the exhaust housing in a slight spraying effect (Housing between powerhead and lower unit).

Simply remove the lower unit retaining bolts to drop the lower unit..... the water pump is sitting directly on top of the lower unit.

The water pump is fairly reasonable in price. For peace of mind, I'd suggest that you check on this site for a new water pump kit. Also, if you intend to do your own work, it would be a good idea to obtain a service manual to avoid expensive mistakes.
