" I have a 1990 3.0 omc. My problem is when the motor is not running and u raise and lower the outdrive the trim gauge works find, but while the motor is running and going across the water the gauge is inoperative. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. Thanks "

"Bill, I hope you get an answer as mine does the same thing. I had a new tilt/trim sending unit installed, and my gas gauge does the same thing as well. It works when I am at the dock and I can read my fuel level and my tilt/trim gauge, but out running around, both of them are inoperative. (I have a 1990 4 Winns 170 Freedom with a OMC Cobra 3.0L)
