The couplers remain stable at elevated temperatures and provideangular and longitudinal vibration absorption in wet exhaust systems. Shields couplers correct slight offsets in pipes. They are resistant to exhaust fumes, ozone,mildchemicals, antifreeze and saltwater. The temperature range is -20°F to +350°F. It meets SAE J2006 Type R1 standards. Shields Silicone Single and Double Hump Couplers are very high temperature silicone exhaust connectors. The maximum operating temperature is 450°F (232°C). It meets SAE J2006 Type R1 standards.
