When installing the solenoid, Sierra recommends that the stop nut be secured by a 7/16" wrench. While holding the stop nut securely with the 7/16" wrench, properly torque the outer nut to 20 in/lbs to complete the installation. Torque in excess of 20 in/lbs on the outer nut can cause internal damage to the solenoid that has potential to render the part inoperable.
