Year of my Mercury 25HP location Germany

Hello everyone. I recently bought a boat with an 25HP Mercury 4stroke motor. I do know the serial number which is OR201484. The model number is MER 1A25312HK. I cannot find the construction year and the tag in the motor itself is rubbed of. Hast anyone a tip on how I could find that information? Im from Germany so please eycuse typos.

I'm not able to locate your 2 numbers offered above here in the USA for a parts catalog but I was able to locate one that's very close to your model number as it offers the same details...Model number 1A25312FL comes up as MERCURY 4 STROKE EFI TMC-EUROPE 25EFI EL 4...

What year is the boat that the engine came on?

Though the website above shows 2006, Keep in mind that Mercury Marine outboard generally stopped using/offering the year models to find parts and other general things starting in 2006... so should your engine be newer then 2006 it will be challenging to find a year model should it not be on the sticker like seen below as anything newer just shows 2006 like seen in the above website, 'in turn meaning your engine is either a 2006 or its newer....Some offer a year on the sticker, and some don't.

Does your serial/model number sticker have a number in the lower right-hand corner such as the following image? (16 in this case)
If yes, then that would be the year of the engine. 2016 for example below.

Thank you so much for your reply which helps a lot. Unfortunatly the previous owner didnt take a picture of the serial number label and the only thing I could identify is the serial number itself. I found the model number googleing so it could be wrong.

Was the engine installed on a boat too from new? What year is the boat?

After googeling I found this information attached. This is where I got the model number I mentioned.

The engine came with the boat and the boat itself is an oldimer GDR wooden boat from the 70s. I wanted more information on the engine to be able to do stuff like oil change myself. Also the insurance asked for the construction year.

Nice find, try using the 7 number In that area too see what it comes up as…
Either way, it would be safe to call it a 2010 year model.
