Does this look like JB Weld to you? I am in the process of rebuilding/restoring my 1985 140HP V4 VRO and I found this inside.

The motor ran, it had a rough idle and turns out that one of the pistons/cylinders was shot.

I need to remove the powerhead, but fear that its not going to be easy with that "weld." Any suggestions?

Does anyone know where I can get the puller and the lifting eye to lift the powerhead straight off?

Thanks, Jay

I think it will lift right off.--That smear of epoxy is not going to hold it on.----------------Fabricate an adapter to use the crankshaft threads for lifting.

Somebody just smeared that on there to try and stop a water leak, it is not holding anything.-------I made my own adapter to lift these motors , nothing to it.

No photo required -------Take 1-1/2 round steel and drill and tap for crankshaft thread ( at least 10 threads ) drill and tap other end for suitable eyebolt 1/2 or bigger.
