Hello, i have a 1999 GM 5.7 marine motor, with Indmar intake. Looking for the best gaskets to get. It has a heat exchanger freshwater. Raw water cools the exchanger. I have water when i pulled intake pulled dipstick milky. I have the black rubber gaskets with metal. I did not add silaco e to the water ports.

with Fresh water cooling, the gaskets dont need to be made from anything special....you should be able to order them from our host - call the 800 number if you cant find it online...

Sad part is with the intake pulled you can't pressure test the cooling system so the source of the leak is hard to say...so there may be more work ahead...

not knowing the history, this is just a crap shoot...you may get lucky with the cause being the intake gasket...so replace it and see what happens...

Hopefully, the milky oil was removed and fresh oil replaced it ...and the filter was changed...and the engine run to dissipate any remaining water inside of the engine...
