Suzuki DT40 carbfuel pump problems

"Recently bought a used 1995 DT40. Motor ran but would bog down at full throttle. Holding in the choke would help, but it still lacked power. I cleaned the carb out and now I can't get it to stay running unless I hold the throttle almost wide open. I've tried adjusting the carb. but to no avail. Any suggestions?"

"I have a ditto 1998 model and it has the same problem as yours initially; Sometimes when I run at full throttle it kind of chokes, the engine loses power. If I pull off the throttle, the engine sort of regains its powers and then it can run at any speed without any problems.. Since it happens only now and then, I haven't bothered finding out what's going on...
