I was offshore on the Cape Horn and it has two 2018 Suzuki 350 motors and in one of the tanks it ran out of gas.this boat is connect with one tank per motor. I ran on one motor for about 8 to 9 miles that motor started shaking would only go over 700 RPMs coast guard showed up and towed us back when I got to the dock I turned on the motor and it wasn’t shaking anymore so I dock the boat at the marina. I Came back and changed both water vapor separator filters on both motors. Check the blue filters and they were clean on both motors . Had a mechanic connect his computer and the error code on the motor (port) that was not getting over 700 rpm’s that it detected that it was starting to get hot so it went into a safety mode. I went ahead and added another suction gas hose to both tanks to be able to run each motor from both tanks. I pull the boat out of the water to go to the gas station one the tank that had fuel and the boat motors would not go over 3000 rpm’s and I filled
it up both tanks and open the valves to draw fuel from the tanks like it usually does and on the way to the dock motors would not go over 3000 RPMs but no hesitation .Just would not go over 3000 RPMs. I checked the bulbs no issues with the bulbs pump while running and still would not go over 3000 RPMs . Turn off the power to the motors came back the next day was doing the same thing. Mechanic came and check the vapor separator tank and it was clean. No error code noted. Any ideas motors had new spark plugs and thermometers place 120 hours ago.
