Solution for worn out cowling seal

In case this hasn't been discovered already, I got some of this door seal from amazon to reseal the cowling on my 1977 Johnson Javelin 85hp V4. It fit perfectly. Nice and tight, but not too tight. I thought I would be trying out a few, but I got lucky on the first try. 13' for $20 does two motors and beats the $110 for one from OMC. Won't last 40+ years like the original. But at that price, it's a budget-friendly optio
