1988 Crusader 454 FWC. The joint between the riser and elbow is dripping very slightly at the bottom. Started after I pulled the elbow to check and then replace the gasket and tightening bolts and still doing it. The risers and elbows were replaced 3 years ago. Cleaned the surfaces carefully and looked for damage but nothing.

Should I replace the gasket again orAny thoughts/suggestions? Do I need to worry about it?

Ayuh,....

Something is obviously Not right,....
If it's Leaking to the Outside,....

"Bondo is a spot on--be damn sure it's not leaking inside or water will enter cylinders through the exhaust ports.

Best thing to do here is take the parts off, clean the gasket surfaces thoroughly, and reinstall with new gaskets, tightened properly.

Note: Be sure to drain the manifolds and risers BEFORE removing them or a flood will go right into the motor!
