Should I replace bearings in L/U?

While bearings "seam" ok and "look" ok are they ok with the heat in a lower unit ran without oil? The clutch dog cradle melted, pivot gear and forward gear. The dog itself and everything is great.

There are three bearings on the propeller shaft. Should I replace them all even though they seam to function well and appear to not have any heat damage??

all bearings should be replaced,....in fact,...i doubt i would reuse anything in that LU.

Are you serious? It's only a 35hp man lol.. The shift cradle meted directly to the dog, which prevented further heat expansion. I chipped all the melted stuff off the reverse gear and clutch dog. As you can see, they look fine. The forward gear and pinion gear stripped from the heat. A little black burnt stain on the prop shaft but it is still balanced and fine.

I got some pics, I'll upload them here. Take a look. Whatcha think??

As you can see the forward tapered bearing doesnt appear to have gotten hot. However, the parts on the driveshaft are most likely the ones to be damaged the most. It appears to me that anything near that forward gear operation got way too hot, but the gears melted before the heat expanded greatly thus stopping operation.

She was only ran for 5 minutes before it "Jumped out of gear" also.

Im guna go ahead and replace the bearings as well. Mine as well spend the extra money and do it right or I will be right back where I am or worse. I dont plan on ever selling the boat as it's sentimental to me, my dad gave it to me when I was 15.
