I always seem to have about 2 gallons sitting in the bilge after about 4 hours running. (twin 454's FWC in 34 tollycraft) I switched to dripless seals...dry as a bone on every run....one less thing to worry about. Well worth the investment which was around $1000 for everything.

"Brian, That GFO shaft packing has worked extremely well for the 6 or so people I know personally using it. I switched last year and we get a running drip every 30 seconds or so. I know I can probably stop it completely but I do not need to screw up the shafts so I accept that tiny little bit which I have read is fine. Cost for the bag of GFO is under $19.00."

I seem to drip even when not running and it is dripping at a good rate. Good enough to kick on the bilge pump every couple hours. What is GFO I need to remedy this I don't like standing water in the bilge.
