the book says .o518 as a min a

the book says .o518 as a min a standard feler gages go from .008 to .026 i measured my gap and .026 was a nice fit so what is the diff in .0518 as to .026 am i to big and in need of new rings or will the ones i have work

What do the ring set instructions say? The gap according to Seloc should be from 0.0158 to 0.0217 inches. Looks like the bore is too large. Have you measured the cylinders?

"iam sorry i ment 0.0158 but when i put the new/old rings in they measured a gap of .o26 the old motor only had 30,000 miles on it was looking to see if those rings were any good before i got new ones"
