replacing oil hose on 96 454XLI

Was out today and had belt failure that ultimately damaged the hose that goes from the remote filter unit to the oil cooler assembly. Of course it's on port engine, and getting to the bolt where it goes into the engine block is very challenging. Anyone have any experience with this? Just getting a wrench on this thing is next to imposssible.

Thanks for any guidance here.
 
Some engine rooms can be a real pain and you can't fault the engine marinizer for what the hull builder did.

I'd suggest being creative to find a way to get access. remember you will need two wrenches, not just one, to loosen those fitting. In a few instances, I've seen the lag bolts removed from the engine to jack it up so a 2x4 could be placed under the mount in order to clear a stringer. The other area you can be creative is making your own set of customized wrenches...notihng like a torch for bending a wrench.
