Good evening - I have a 2000 60 HP 4 stroke Mercury motor on a pontoon boat. Last fall I disassembled the console to remove t for a new floor installation. Part of that disassembler involved the remote control for forward/neutral/reverse and throttle. Well now I''m re-assembling and can't remember how it goes back together. I'm wondering if someone can point me to an on line manual that describes the assembly of the shift and throttle cables.

Surprisingly tricky! Work the throttle handle to see which cable moves ONLY at full throttle--that's the throttle cable.

Thanks Jeff - I know which cable is which and where they go (well marked at disassembly). I got it together today but something isn't right - I can't get it to go into reverse. Forward and neutral seem to be OK. I think I need to take it to a mechanic to have it checked out?. I did find some pictures of a Mercurty Commander panel mount control that looks like mine but they didn't go into any detail about hoe to assemble the cables
