Problems with engine bogging down during rev

"I have an 89 bayliner capri with a 2.3 foed engine. It cranks and idles great, but when I hit the throttle, it bogs down and then takes off. I put on a new carb, points, wires, plugs. Any suggestions?"

"Thank you for your information. I have worked on it a little, but have been unable to keep the problem away. I will keep working on the problem wiht that in mind. It felt like a fuel delivery problem to me. If I keep giving it the gas, it revs great."
