Overheat Horn

I'm running a remanufactured 60HP Jonson model year 1992. During the break period I had the overheat alarm go off a couple times. One time it went off while I was in reverse for a few minutes.

It also will run hot on the earmuffs. At idle in the water it seems to be fine. around 100 degrees during arm up. I also have taken temps on it while running. Usually runs at 125-130 just off idle after warm up under load in gear.

On a flushette, the water pressure must be turned on full blast, otherwise the pump will draw air.

​You cannot test a water pump on muffs. In such conditions, it does not pump at all--only allows hose water to pass through.

Take it back to the lake, give it a good test and then let us know what happens. ????
