Re: over heating

How do you know the water in coming in and going out? What exactly did you do to check this?
Why do you think it is overheating? guage reading? feels hot, paint on engine on fire?
In the water or on muffs?

Re: over heating

I'm going to guess you meant water going into the t-stat housing and coming out.

Where do you see it going or think it's going ?

Hold the long hose that comes in from the transom to the t-stat housing straight up, take it off the t-stat housing.

Start the motor with water going to the drive. How high it shooting ? 3 seconds quick shut off the motor.

Say you got good water to the t-stat, then it's down stream the clog, Remove the riser.

Riser good clogged up maybe ? If not or you had to replace it , look down the exhaust tube, got a flapper stuck half brokin in the exhaust ?

Get back to us i for one want to know the outcome, or you need more info.

Re: over heating

did you verify the sender reading with a IR temperature gun? or even your hand?

need to verify that it is actually overheating.
