Is there any way to up the hp on the 18 to a 25? I've heard there is. Also, is there any way to change the pull start into an electric start? I use the motor for duck hunting so it's always in the cold. any way to make it start easier in the cold? (already done a tune-up with factory recommended plugs, points and condenser). I would also like a visual water port to be sure the motor is getting good water circulation - any way to do this? Thanks!! "

" Yes it is easy to change to electric start. You need a flywheel with a ring gear . You need a bracket to mount the starter( common since 1958) and a solenoid and start switch.Yes you can change from an 18 to 25 it only requires the proper balanced for higher revs crankshaft, bigger carburetor and perhaps a different cylinder head. It is not worth the effort, since displacement is the same. "
