Non engine issue

Had to run my windshield wiper coming in the other day and she wouldn't turn off. Pulled the lead to turn off and replaced the switch. Appeared to work fine with new switch. Had to use it again and the wiper stayed on again. Had to pull the lead to turn off. What else could I be looking at?

Self parking wipers have three circuits.
One constant power......, one excite that begins the cycle as the switch is turned on......., and a negative.

Check all three wires to make sure that they are connected properly.

You may have the excite and power reversed..... although I don't know if that would continue operation.
