No spark

Yamaha 25 hp 2003 F25ELHB. No spark at Plug... No electric to coil with test light. I order a new coil. I was wondering if I should order this C.D.I unit... http://www.boats.net/parts/search/Yamaha/Outboard/2003/F25ELHB/ELECTRICAL 1/parts.html

I replaced the plugs. I order a new coil. This C.D. I unit is a 300 dollar part. thats the only thing I can think of, to get me back-out on the water.

Save your money on the parts and get a service manual. Throwing parts at it is a very expensive way to not repair your engine.

Is this engine a tiller handle or does the boat have a helm with remote controls?

Lil tiller, Manual hah. (Maybe I should find a mechanic. There is really no Boat repair shop near by. I'd much rather be crabbing.

If you have a digital Volt/Ohm Meter and a DVA here is a link to the readings you should be getting from your stator. If you are confused by this, you may want to take your engine to a Yamaha dealer.

Yeah. A manual would come in handy bout now. I c there is a dealer in Fredrick. I'll give them a call tomorrow. Thanks for ur help/ reason
