my old gale

i was given a 1955 fiberform at least that is what the paper work says, it came with a gale sovereign moter model no.60de10b, serial no. 768706 the bottom half is missing nobody knows why. what i need to know is where i can find a book on the motor and the bottom half of the motor and is it worth fixing?thanks lots p.s. how do you decode the model and serial no.s

Any of the V-4 Johnson / Evinrude motors , manual / mechanical shift lower units will fit.----From say 1960 to 1968.------That would be 60 hp , 65 hp ,75 hp , 80 hp , 85 hp.
