Hey there - Wondering if any of you can confirm the following. I am a commercial fisherman in Maine. I have a great outboard that starts and runs like a champ most of the time. Every once in a while it pitches a fit, shakes like crazy and will sometimes stall. Yet it starts right back up and can run fine. We already replaced the entire fuel system with a local repair shop. Then took to my local Merc dealer to see if he would connect his computer to my outboard and tell me what the issue was. 3 weeks later he calls and says that Mercury marine's software updates for his diagnostic do not support earlier motors like my 2004. ..... Is this true? Please help, thanks
