Might be missing a carb piece - need confirmation

I was putting a carb kit in my 1998/99 F15MSHX and after removing the carb from the outboard and taking it apart I cleaned up the bowl. After the gasket and screen had been removed, I blew out the bowl and I saw a tubular piece fly out and I thought I might have also seen something silver come out of the same hole. This hole is in line with the screw holes. I found the tubular piece but couldn't find anything silver laying in the area. I looked up the schematic for this carb and the hole and the tubular piece are not in the drawing.

I took a pic of the tubular piece and the hole it came out of.

I need to know if there is another part that goes in this hole.

This is for a 1998 15HP Yamaha 4-Stroke Outboard.
