Hello all, the other day I was running my mercury 2018 4 stroke 40hp 3cyl just cruising and out of nowhere the motor stopped, after a lot of troubleshooting I figured out there was a metal chunk wedged between the prop and lower unit, wiggled it free and motor started right up and got me back in. I took that metal piece out today and it was pretty small, super light and felt like thin aluminum, there are also 2 more piece still in the lower unit that I can’t get out without removing the lower unit completely, does anyone have an idea of what this may be? Any help greatly appreciated! Also lower unit was shifting fine both ways, I’m lost!
