Mercury 75 hp 4 stroke (2011) guardian alarm and now runs rough, ideas?

We were cruising at full throttle when the six-second guardian alarm went off. We then powered down and took it easy. It runs roughly now, and we're wondering what it might be and if it's something we can fix without hauling it out of the marina. One note, prior to going out we noticed a small hole in the fuel line, which we fixed by shortening it and putting the clamp back on.
