Getting ready to put the boat in the water on Tuesday. Yesterday I changed spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor. Started boat and ran it for about 10-15 minutes with no problem. Today I started the engine and after about 3 minutes the engine stalled and the Smartcraft said "Engine Data Bus." Any ideas what this could be?

Thanks in advance for anyone's help!!!

it means the smartcraft isn't reading normal ECM data buss traffic...likely a bad or dirty connection....likely something you bumped or leaned into during the service....

Solved. It turns out that the cable and/or the in-hull transducer connected to the Smartcraft system went bad. Once I unplugged the connection from the transducer to the Smartcraft system the motor ran great. No stalling!

I have the the exact same issue after replacing the same components. Where exactly is the wire you unplugged that made the stall issue go away?

Follow the wires from the transducer to where it plugs into the smartcraft system. The wire plug is located to the left of the oil filter. It should be labeled transducer.

Hi. I have the same exact problem but cannot locate this wire next to the filter. Any chance you have a picture showing it's location?

Solved. It turned out the coil wire was moving while driving. Sierra wires were used and the silicone boot wasn't making tight contact.
