"Hello, Can anyone tell me if it is possible to replace only the brushes in the starter? The leads from the brushes are rivited to the starter end cap. I thought that maybe there is a kit or workaround to fix this. I hate to buy a new starter just because the brushes are shot. Its a 2001 Merc 25 2 stroke Thanks"
