"<font color=""000000"">Hi can
"<font color=""000000"">Hi can someone help, i have this mariner 60hp 2 stroke 1994 engine. I have replaced the fuel filter, and fuel line. (rubber hose to the pump). i have also used some spray carb cleaner to hopefully ensure the carbs are clean. I have adjusted the idle speed slightly so it idles a little faster as it was idling very slow, it starts first time it doesnt need to turn over more than once to start it! it speeds up fine with the warm up lever and works well with the drive lever only when it is out of the water with the muffs on, it doesnt splutter or coughs. But when i put it in the sea it starts first time, and i let it warm up for a couple of minute but when i put it into gear it just stalls, if i give it some rev on the warm up lever then quicky push it into gear and drive off it will run fine, until i bring it down to neutral again and go to drive off it stalls again. when i go to start it again it starts first time without any hesitation. Top end is good, when i bought it the guy said he had put a different prop on from what he used on it, and it was slightly larger in diameter, will this cause a problem ? the size</font> seem to meet the 60 hp spec, but does the motor need setting up to the prop? also the motor hasnt been used for a year before i got it a month ago. any suggestions would be great thanks"
