Hey guys
Hope everyone is well. So i have an old motor im restoring, (this isnt my laziness to flush and i have removed my cylinder head water jacket to remove the thermostat as after a new impeller was installed but it still wasn't peeing. well its safe to say the thermostat is completely shot. my question is this. I have 2 cavities in the cylinder head. One appears to be a pressure release tunnel with a release valve, and one which houses the thermostat. should the thermostat cavity have a hole/pathway for water to circulate? ill attach a pic.
I think im going to do an acid bath anyway to the cylinder head cover but id just like to know what i should expect to see.
