I need to change jets for my 2001 Mercury 125hp ELPTO SN OT316188 MN 1-125412YD.
I just moved from Colorado to phoenix and the boat hasn’t run for more than 2yr. I have cleaned all 4 carburetors and removed the following jets (.070, .080, .080, .080) . The numbers were difficult to read do to some scratches.
I was advised to install the following jets:
According to the schematics the jet size that you would need is the .070, .078 and .076. I will link them below. Carburetor 1 takes the .070, carburetor 2 takes the .078 and carburetor 3 and 4 take the .076.
1395-6030 - Jet -.070
1395-6680 - Jet -.078
1399-3796 - Jet -.076
When I looked at the schematics I see the following jets for WME 2 XK 81 carbs:
Each of my carbs is stamped with 81-1, 81-2, 81-3, 81-4. Using this information with a carburetor schematic I see JET sizes as follows:
1395-6030 wme 81-1 Jet .070
1395-6201 wme 81-2 Jet .080
1395-6201 wme 81-3 Jet .080
1399-3518 wme 81-4 Jet .082
I want to verify if I am reading the schematic correctly with these jets or are the jets I was advised to install are the correct ones?
