Hey guys, was trying to replace water pump on this unit yesterday. Removed the 2 bolts on each side of LU, trim tab bolt and bolt just forward of Trim Tab, bolt for anode and disconnected shift lever.

Unit would not drop? I was even standing on it jumping with 185 lbs of me and no luck.

The engine has been sitting in the water for a few years so i think the drive shaft is seized on the crankshaft?

Any thoughts?

There is a 1/2 or 9/16 bolt under the trim tab (look up inside the trim tab cavity), and a 5/8 bolt in tbe center of the cavitation plate

The anode bolt stays.

Yea i got all the bolts out, didn't miss any. Owner is content with leaving it alone and using it till water pump dies then get a new motor. This thing is stuck good and I told him I didn't want to break anything and make it unusable.
