Impeller/ housing Alpha 1

alpha 1
impeller failed after son turned off water when I was running on muffs in driveway. I didn't know this until we were on lake. Temp got up to 195.
Do I need to replace the complete housing or just impeller kit?

Most likely the impeller melted to the stainless steel insert in the housing...so I would replace the whole thing to be safe, The plastic tube also most likely got melted and that will be in the kit.

What year is your boat?

Around 1991 and older You have to replace the whole pump, upper and lower.

1992 and newer, Get an impeller kit and the lower seal carrier, You can reuse the upper housing.

I believe his is a Gen 1. ~1991 and older

1992 and newer will be Gen 2

It's a 1990, gen 1, but I did put a S.E.I drive on it three years ago
