How old is my engine ??

Hi, I have an Evinrude 9.9 outboard engine.......Can someone please tell me how i find out how old it is??

The model number, which should be on a plate on the transom clamp bracket along with the serial number, will enable the year to be determined.

The number may also be on a plug on the power head.

You need to know of THIS WEB SITE if you have a 9.9 (year ID codes there as well)

9.9's began in 1974, the first model # was 10424. We need a model # to "dial" it in for you. In the 90's you use the word "introduces" to discover your year I=1, N=2 and so on.
