How many needle bearings?

I just took apart my 10hp 1960 Evinrude power head. And as usual I was very carful in keeping all the needles to each rod separate. However I have counted only 29 needles on each rod. I know on other models like 9.5's and 6's and so forth there are 30 on each. Is this correct that here are only 29 on each for the 10hp.

I go by the rule of thumb that it takes as many as it will hold. In other words, if you put in 29 and there is not enough room for another one, it only takes 29. Never failed me yet.

Thanks I was not sure since they both were good but only had 29, when I put together I will know.
