Hello, engine number help

Hello, I just found this forum while trying to figure out what the engine number is for the 1990 Donzi GT250 I purchased in New Jersey and now trying to title in Va. The number plate is no longer on the engine and the New Jersey title does not list an engine number but does have to other numbers listed along with the Hull ID#. The Hull is DMRRD 625E9 90 the other to numbers in the same box but seprate are B2345 and 69463 12502. I am assuming engine and drive? Thanks in advance for the help, i have been looking around here for about 30 minutes and seems like a good site so I joined.

Forgot to add its a OMC King Cobra 460cid...

assuming you mean a model number, should be in this format:
http://marinemechanic.com/omc/omc_sd86-93.htm
and the 460 will start with 754 - 7.5L, 4 barrel carb

not sure what you need it for though

edit - there was only one model of 460 in 1990:
754APEPWS

Thanks for the link!!! I need the actual engine number not the model number. The title for the boat is a New Jersey title which does not list the engine number separate, I am transfer title to Virginia which requires an engine number on the application for the title. I have even look all over the bilge for the tag that I have been told should be on the valve cover.

Some Marine Board departments require an engine serial number to link to the hull.
If you absolutely cannot find the OEM engine serial number, stamp your own numbers into the block.

Example: 754APEPWS12345GC, or etc.

I don't believe that they're looking for stolen engines.

Just do it.... and don't ask questions.
