Just got back n oil analysis and they detcted glycol in the oil. What tests coukd I run to determine where it might be coming from before Injust start replacing parts. It is a 1998 Crusader 454xLi with closed cooling and rear mounted HX. About 1,000 hours and has been running fine. Just replaced risers, engine miunts, and shaft seals.

Probably the best test would be to pressure test the closed side of the cooling system...unfortunately, its not likely to give the exact location of the issue...the bad news is that any coolant leak to ends up in the oil sump is internal to the engine...leaking intake manifold gaskets, leaking head gaskets, cracked/damage intake or block are on the list i just constructed...

what value was the glycol present at and did the lab state it was at a high value?
