1994 2.5 175hp engines. There are hoses going into the gearcases on these engines that look like a vacuum hose or something.Could anyone tell me what these hoses that are going into the gearcase are,the one on the starboard side follows the shift cables into the side of the boat.,the one on the port engine stops as you can see in the pic.Where do the go,what do the do,and does the port engine need to go somewhere besides where it is? on the service manual that I have it says the are called CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY,but it does not say what they do,whre they go,nothing.I tried to upload photos of them but it will not let me.

Follow that one hose to see if it is the hose that goes to a speedometer.-------If it does then that is another mystery solved.

racerone, that makes sense,I could not follow it because it goes into the side of the boat, but I dont see a pitot tube anywhere else so that has got to be it,thanks so much.
