fwc blow out on 2007 6.0 MPI engine

I have inspected a Silverton 33C with Crusader 6.0 MPI, 2007 boat 100hrs
had to fill the degas bottle on port engine to the proper level, a lot of air was in the system, ran with cap off and topped to proper level
during sea trials coolant blew out into the bilge, no overhead, just an empty degas bottle, repeated several times
starboard motor required a top of but maintain acceptable levels

getting various feed back from Silerton and Crusader, maybe heresay but they say nothing is wrong, I don't buy it

the degas bottle is there for a reason

any suggestions would be appreciated

Something isn't right as the degas bottle should never been "emptied".

Could be as simple as improper maintenance (residual air not completely purged) or as ugly as overheat induced failure (head crack, head gasket, etc).

If you are interested i the boat, I'd invest a bit more in the troubleshooting/diagnosis of the issue before commiting....now if the seller wants to buy you a replacement engine.....

I definitely agree, I purged much of the air from the system, I thinking other more serious problems as you descibe

That's where a pressure tester, with the appropriate adapter, could come in real handy. A cruder surrogate would be to replace one of the 'higher' hoses, in the closed side, with a piece of pressure rated clear hose, for testing purposes. A properly functioning cooling system should have no air bubbles in the liquid side.
