I'm new to boating and just purchased a '64 CC Commander that has twin Crusader 454s. Does anyone have info on flame arrestor(FA) size/performance data. It came with performance FA(18-7232) but I wonder if bigger ones will improve performance. Also, has anyone run cool air vents directly to carbs?

I know htat dirty ones kill gas mileage. Keep 'em clean and you'll be all set.
