Hey

I Dont have compression on my Fisherman 69 6 hp. Compression was 5 bar and then I put few millilitre two stroke oil in the cylinder compression was 8,5 bar. I took tke cylinder head of and the gasket was good( there was no leak marks). Of course I change new gasket when I assemble engine. I think my piston rings has worn out. What is the standard size piston dimensions?

I think your compression is fine no need for new rings. What is your motor doing?

Motor wont Start. Even if I use starting fluid. Should compression be at least 8 bar?

Stop----Does spark jump a gap of 1/4" or more on a test device , yes or no ?------These motors are nearly world famous for cracked coils if still the original one in there.----So if you are not sure that they have been replaced pull the flywheel for inspection.----Motor will start and run with 6 bar compression.

Yes, the spark jumps over 1/4" but I lift the flywheel of and there is cracked coil and they should be replace.

Right. They will arc underneath down to stator plate, but often times, a spark jump test will indicate adequate fire.
