you swap it around

Yes and you have to turn that pump around to change the transmission's rotation. If you don't, the pump will fail very quickly. If your Paragon is really high mileage, you might want to consider a rebuild, too, before you turn the pump and begin to operate it in the other rotation. Once you get it set up the way you want it, keep the transmission fluid cooler in good shape and the transmission will last forever.
