CAT 3176c-TA 600HP should I walk away from this?

I've heard all sorts of things, many of them from folks who don't know what they're talking about. What I hear is that there are issues with these things and to remedy the problems gets expensive. This one has just under 2000 Hrs and I'm told the owner had serviced the engine according to all service bulletins and recalls. Broker says good motor if maintained, which is what everyone says about diesels, so...

Any real world experience with this motor? I'm all ears.
