Put new floats in! The original tended to absorb gas and sink. Seriously.

Hi i am new to the site. I re

Hi i am new to the site. I recently bought a 1978 Pacemaker 36 Sportfish. Does anybody have any information on converting to fuel injection for 454/CH350 engines.
Also i think this is a fuel problem but i cant get my port engine above 2000 RPM while in gear. In neutral i can get 3500 out it. I am not sure when the last time the carbs were rebuilt so i am either going to convert to fuel injection or get new carbs and start fresh.
DOes anybody know what would cause vibration in an engine other than a bad prop. This just started recently.

"quailty rebuild will include new float which is brass, line bore the throttle body and install bushings, polish body and replate the other hardware, new vacuum pot and hose and new metering rods and slow speed jets etc.
Should not cost more than 225 plus shipping.

I use Naional Carburetors in Jacksonville FL, look up on the internet. They did a fine job on the starboard carburator. Have an issue with one that I just got from them but they are making good on it and turn around is excellent."

"My left side engine, Crusader 220-305, had always the problem starting before. I had to pump the gas several times before it would fire. Yesterday, the starter gave up on me. I thought it was battery but when replaced I got the same clicking sound from the solenoid. I jumpered the sol. and heard some winding but no gear engagement. Is it the solenoid, starter switch or the starter brushes? Your comments are always greatly appreciated."
