Bell housing

I have 1985 omc 305 Chevy with bad engine. I have 1977 omc 351 ford with good engine. Will the bell housing from the 1977 omc fit on the 1985 so I can put the 361 in the 1985 boat?

Ayuh,...... Chevy, 'n Ford bellhousing bolt patterns are different,.......

The bolt patterns to the drive, may, or may not be different,......

Btw,..... Ford has been outa the marine market for several decades,......
Parts are getting scarce,....
