Alarm Buzzer Issue with Mercury 115hp EFI 2003

Hello everyone,

Recently i bought a Mercury 115hp EFI four-stroke engine from a company. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase as the engine has been serviced and is performing well. However, I am currently experiencing an issue with the alarm buzzer.

Typically, when the ignition is started, the alarm buzzer should emit a single "beep" to indicate that it's functioning properly. Unfortunately, in my case, the buzzer produces a low-volume continuous beep instead. I have recorded a video clip of the sound, which you can find at this link: YouTube-Clip

The company has been responsive to my concerns and provided a replacement buzzer. However, the new buzzer does not produce any sound at all, neither during startup nor continuously.

I have already checked the oil levels, and they are within the appropriate range. Additionally, I ruled out any overheating issues since it was the first time I started the engine in almost a week. I also inspected the wiring and found no signs of damage.

During my search for a solution, I came across two forum posts (attached in the files) that added some confusion to the matter.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions to help resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate your input.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Best regards
