About resistor

"I ordered a 3ohm flamethrower coil and the paper that came with it says on 4 and 6 cylinder engines remove the resistor . Just to make sure that I do it right , would that be the resistor on the altinater ?"

"Your engine seems to be a 4-cylinder (AQ120B), so a 3 ohm coil is what you need, especially if you install a Pertronix electronic ignition kit.

The resistor they talk about is not the one for the alternator, but rather the ballast resistor necessary for some distributors with points (I don't think that yours is one of them)."
