A1G2 Lower Unit Drain Hole

Hello! I have my lower unit off for impeller replacement, and I was scraping and grinding all the nasty surfaces, I noticed that if I put my airgun over this drain hole, it would pressurize, ie it isn't free and clear like I would think it would be, as it is described in the manual as a drain hole. I can get a screwdriver in there about 2" before it seems to hit a pretty solid blockage. From its angle, it looks like it would head to the prop shaft tube, but I can't get that cap off the shaft to see if there appears to be the other end of the passage in there. I really just need to confirm that this drain should be free flowing before I get aggressive with trying to clear it. Thanks

That is an oil passage between upper & lower housings.
There is a SQUARE edges oring (Quad seal) that sits in the small counter bored area. A little RTV (VERY LITTLE) to help keep it in place when reassembling.

It clicked as soon as I read this. I thought I was just pressurizing the passage, and it was clogged, but in reality I was pressurizing the whole lower unit oil reservoir. Removed the drain plug and the passage moves air just fine. Thanks
